PR 117 "The Nuns' Path"

1 - At the Quincy town hall, take the Church Street to the left, cross the bridge over the Loison and reach Landzécourt on the other bank. Cross Basse Street, going up in front by Haute Street for 80 m, then ascend left the grassy slope. At the calvary, climb straight up the path. It rises, overlooks the Chiers valley below to the left [ > viewpoint] and enters the Bochet woods. At the intersection, on the edge, descend straight down the paved road that leads to the Grande Rue of Vigneul-sous-Montmédy. Turn right towards the church. [ > Saint Peter's Church].
2 - Continue straight on the Grande Rue to reach the D 110 (caution). Take it to the right for 950 m (caution). Turn left onto a forest path at the edge of the woods. [ > viewpoint]. Stay on this path and after 3 km, turn right for 100 m then right again for 1 km to arrive at a T-junction.
3 - Turn right and continue towards Juvigny-sur-Loison. Exit the woods, ignore a path to the right and continue straight. Arrive at the D 142 via the Ormes path.
4 - Take it to the right and enter Juvigny-sur-Loison. Cross the Loison, go straight up Basse Street for 70 m. Turn left onto Abbey Street. At the end of the street, continue right onto Hospital Street, [ > War Memorial, Saint Denis Church], then right again onto Grande Street. Pass in front of the town hall and after 150 m turn left onto Vignes Street. Cross the Loison, [ > calvary], continue on the paved path for 450 m.
5 - Leave the paved path and turn left for 1.3 km on the path that will lead you to Han-les-Juvigny. At the T-junction, turn left, cross the Loison, continue on Moulin Street, pass the town hall, then go left towards Vigneul-sous-Montmédy. Pass in front of the church and after 150 m arrive at a fork [ > calvary].
6 - Go up to the right towards the Bellevue farm. Pass in front of barns and travel another 900 m. Leave the paved road to head right onto the grassy path at the edge of the woods (follow the markings carefully). After 700 m, continue left for 200 m then right to arrive at a paved road. Turn right and after 250 m turn right again for 80 m then left. Follow agricultural sheds, [ > Fountain of the Good Sick]. Continue on the Moulin path, ignore the Perdue street opposite, go left then right. [ > washhouse], descend to the starting point.
