The Alzette (Luxembourgish: Uelzecht; The Alzig is a river in France and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It originates in Lorraine in the municipality of Thil and runs through the French municipalities of Villerupt and Audun-le-Tiche.
In Luxembourg, it irrigates the towns of Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg City, and Mersch, and then flows into the Sauer at Ettelbrück.

Right bank: Kälbaach, Diddelengerbaach, Crauthemergruef, Huerbaach, Kasselterbaach, Rollengerbaach, Rouschtbaach, Schrondweilerbaach, Kalbaach, Kiselbaach, and Ditgesbaach
Left bank: Dipbech, Kleemelbaach, Mess, Mierbech, Bibbeschbaach, Doulemerbaach, Drosbech, Peitruss or Pétrusse, Klengelbaach, Kaylbaach, Millebach, Mamer, Eisch, Wëllerbaach, Rouschtbach, Attert, and Deiwelbaach.
