This global authority in the field of travel and tourism chooses the most progressive travel destination in the world every year. The Netherlands has never been nominated for a WTTC Award, let alone a region in the Netherlands as the best travel destination. Parkstad Limburg, South Limburg, the whole of Limburg is very proud of this!

This border route follows the course of the river Worm, which rises in Aachen. The river flows north through the municipalities of Würselen, Herzogenrath, Übach-Palenberg, Geilenkirchen and Heinsberg before finally flowing into the Roer. From Herzogenrath to Übach-Palenberg, the river serves as a border river with the Dutch municipalities of Kerkrade and Landgraaf.

This route starts from the parking lot at Rolduc Abbey (Heyendallaan 82 in Kerkrade). The cross-border junction system ensures that you can easily find your way. You will be amazed by the beautiful nature, the beautiful views and of course the terraces to take a break.
