Tree of Justice

Isolated justice tree on the plateau to the north of the village, in the place called "countryside of Justice", it has shaded the gallows and sheltered the colonies of crows tasked with stripping the corpses of the condemned hanging at the end of the rope.(...) In Mélin, of these trees chosen as deities, among the Gauls and the Germans, later appropriated by the Christian religion to eliminate the ancient cults, the linden of 'Justice' is the only tree that remains(...). These trees also marked, from afar, the crossroads for travelers.
