Meuzegem is a rural village in the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located in Wolvertem, a borough of Meise.

Meuzegem lies one and a half kilometers northwest of the village center of Wolvertem.

The name Meuzegem originates from "Muso," a Frankish-Germanic family that settled on the Brabant plateau around 700 AD. Muso-inga-heim, which means Muso-family-home, is thus the residence of the Muso family. They owned an area of 12 bunder of land - a traditional mansus - on the threefold kouter of the Blakenberg.

After the Christianization of the Frisian and Frankish areas, a church was built around the villa of the Lords of Museghem around 803 AD. In September 1112, this church, along with a farm, the later Our Lady's Farm, and 2 mansi of land, was granted as endowment to the abbey of Dielegem in exchange for the maintenance and service of the church. In addition, the Lords of Meuzegem also had properties in Wolvertem and Jette.

As was customary for the small land nobility, they demonstrated their power by establishing a ring fort in the 11th century. In the 13th century, the House of Mosenghem became impoverished and sold its possessions to a German knightly order based in Pitsenburg-Mechelen.

This knightly order consolidated all its properties in this region and brought them under a feudal court based in the "Hof van Meuseghem". Thus, half of the parish existed as a separate entity until the French Revolution. For a short time - from 1797 to 1811 - Meuzegem was an independent municipality with Antonius de Cock as the mayor. This Snowdrop Walk is a temporary (March 1 - April 30) signposted route by WSV 't Fluitekruid (Wolvertem). At hiking junction 410, a sign from the hiking club is missing; turn left a little further to reach a picnic area.
