The Klütturm is a listed observation tower on the 258 m high Klüt mountain west of Hamelin. The tower officially bears the name Georgenturm, as it was built in 1843 by the civil engineer Adolf Buchholz, who worked in Hamelin, from stone material from Fort George of the fortifications on the Klüt, which was razed in 1808. In 1887 it was raised to 23 metres. The viewing platform of the Klütturm is accessible via 99 steps. From the tower there is a view of the old town of Hamelin with the Weser and the middle Weser Uplands.
