Hameln

Description

Do you know the legend of the famous ‎ratcatcher, the Pied Piper of Hameln? According to Grimm Brothers the Piper led all the children out of the town of Hameln in 1284.
Initially, he was a rat-catcher hired by the authorities to get rid of rodents that were troubling the town's people. By playing an enchanting melody on his pipe he lured the rats into the nearby river where they drowned. When the mayor refused to pay him for this service he took a revenge. Using the same method he made town's children follow him from the town, never to be seen again.
