The exciting Varusschlacht Museum in the Osnabrück region is now accessible to cyclists on a new cycle path: The Germanenroute connects the museum and Park Kalkriese with the also new "Germanenland" in the Alfsee Holiday and Recreational Park. Guests of this holiday home settlement spend the night with all modern comforts in the ambiance of the ancient Germanic people - including a family adventure park right outside the door and a rustic-antique Alfen sauna world right next door.
The museum is family-friendly 17 kilometers away and shows where and why Varus' legions were defeated by the warriors of Arminius in the year 9 AD.
