Moulin à vent Gaillardin

The origins of this mill go back a long way. As early as 1457, there is evidence of the existence of a mill at Chapelon. The mill was called the "Moulin de Nuisement" because of the large area it occupied, which was detrimental to field cultivation. Later, in the 17th century, it was renamed "Moulin Gaillardin". It is a pivot mill and the last windmill in the Gâtinais region. Renovation work was completed in June 2023. Don't hesitate to take a detour and admire the scale of the restoration work.
