Fontaine de l'hôtel de ville

This modern fountain evokes the Gallo-Roman remains discovered during the excavations of the ancient Niederbronnois thermal baths in 1993. Two half-shafts of sandstone columns, currently on display at the Maison de l'Archéologie, were in fact discovered on this site and probably came from the north façade of the cold water pool. One can also see there an evocation of the half-columns used for the reconstitution, in the 19th century, of the temple dedicated to Mercury near the Wasenbourg.
