1870: the Lichtervelde-Veurne railway line extended to Adinkerke; the first station of Adinkerke is put into use. Construction of the second station in 1913 by the Follet brothers (De Panne) designed by architect J. Viérin (Bruges) from 1907 (?). An impressive building made of yellow brick on a natural stone plinth with the use of Euvillesteen for vertical elements, relieving arches, frames, base blocks, courses, etc. Under hipped roofs (slate tiles) in a Norman-influenced style, cf. pseudo-timber framing. White-painted woodwork. Symmetrical structure: central, projecting entrance hall, accentuated by a central basket-arched roof window under hipped roof with wind boards and pseudo-timber framing; linked round and basket arch-shaped wall openings. Coat of arms (semi-raised sculpture) with the inscription "Eendracht maakt macht" in a banner above the door; laurel and inscription "Tempus fugit" at the top. Stone coat of arms on the side facades. Somewhat more modestly developed side wings, serving as counterparts to the entrance hall; characteristic basket-arched roof window under hipped roof with pseudo-timber framing and wind boards cf. central section. Flanking bays fitted with rectangular two- and three-light windows under linked round arches in profiled basket arch niches, resting on the mentioned plinth. Small glazing bars are common.
Interior: wooden barrel vault above the entrance hall; sandstone, basket-arched niches and passages with sloping sides ending in a donkey ear and drip ledge, resting on white stone capitals or not; waiting room, also with a wooden barrel vault and neo-Gothic fireplace; other spaces equipped with flat ceilings with tie and purlin beams on profiled shoes.
