The Koningsdonkstraat is a traditional paved road, which gives an air of Paris-Roubaix to Gentbrugge. The Koningsdonkstraat took you to the (now disappeared) ferry that crossed the Scheldt. You can still see the magnificent building at the end of the street, now a restaurant and from where you can contemplate the Scheldt, where the ferry used to be. At the time when the crossing was still taking place, the Koningsdonkstraat was an important communication route between Heusden and Gentbrugge.
