The State Main Archive Koblenz is one of the two central archives of the state administration of Rhineland-Palatinate, located in Koblenz. The largest archive of the state, together with the State Archive Speyer, forms the State Archive Administration Rhineland-Palatinate, whose tasks it generally assumes. Branch offices are located in Rommersdorf and Kobern-Gondorf. The State Civil Registry Archive, which contains the duplicate copies of the civil status registers of the entire federal state, is currently still housed in the Koblenz district of Wallersheim.
Since 2007, the head of the State Main Archive Koblenz/State Archive Administration Rhineland-Palatinate has been Elsbeth Andre.
