Orkanger ist eine Stadt in der norwegischen Kommune Orkland, gelegen in der Provinz Trøndelag. Der Ort stellt das Verwaltungszentrum von Orkland dar und hat 8385 Einwohner .
Orkanger liegt am Orkdalsjord, einem südlichen Arm des Trondheimfjord. Die Ortschaft stellt einen sogenannten Tettsted dar, also eine Ansiedlung die für statistische Zwecke als ein Ort gewertet werden. In Orkanger befinden sich ein Krankenhaus, eine weiterführende Schule und ein Hafen.
