North Holland_Duin

This route is plotted in the dune landscape of North Holland. Plotting a tour in a narrow elongated dune area that is (rightly) largely inaccessible to cars and motorcycles is not possible. That is why the route runs partly through the dune area of North Holland and partly through the landscape behind the dunes.
Along the entire coast you can find an almost continuous belt of dunes. The beach is the interface where land and sea meet. Directly behind the beach rise the dunes. Beach and dunes are inextricably linked. You can see the beach as the forecourt of the dunes sloping towards the sea, where the 'stock' of sand is ready to form the dunes.
The tour starts and ends at the parking lot of the Zwanenwater south of Callantsoog.
Please note: It is recommended not to drive this route on summer days.
