The cycling route starts at the impressive Landcommanderij Alden Biesen in Bilzen. Between junction 519 and 123, the artwork #inconcreto awaits in the middle of the fields and orchards. From Hoeselt, the journey continues towards Tongeren, the first city of Belgium. You can see the belfry tower of the Our Lady Basilica from kilometers away. In the city center, the delicious dining and drinking spots are there for the taking. Through the Moerenpoort, you cycle out of the center and head towards the wine castle Genoels-Elderen. If you are a fan of wine, it is definitely recommended to make a stop with a walk through the vast vineyards and a tasting of the end result. Do enjoy in moderation, as afterwards you still have to take the final – almost straight – line towards Alden Biesen.
