The green skate loop starts near the football field of ‘t Chringhene. After the ‘climb’ of the Gitsberg and the ‘descent’ of the hollow road (Legestraat), the route continues via the Steamthing towards Dominiek Savio – Service Center Gid(t)s. After passing the boxing stamp of Delfine Persoon, you skate further along rural roads towards the Grijspeerd to return to Gits from there. Along the way, you almost pass the first and only Big Bench in Belgium (take the connection towards Lichtervelde for this). Want to strengthen your inner self? Then go through the forest and Hoeve Ter Kerst. On the way, you can connect to the routes of Hooglede, Lichtervelde, and Roeselare.

The Skeelernetwerk Midwest spreads out across the municipalities of Ardooie, Hooglede, Ingelmunster, Izegem, Ledegem, Lichtervelde, Meulebeke, Moorslede, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Roeselare, Ruiselede, Staden, Tielt, Wielsbeke, and Wingene, with a total distance of approximately 450 km. You skate kilometers along a varied rural and urban landscape. In addition to the beautiful views, there are also nice resting spots. You discover the strengths of the 16 municipalities in three tourist regions: the Leie region, the Bruges surroundings, and the Westhoek. Both recreational and advanced skaters will find their enjoyment here. Runners, walkers, cyclists, and others can also enjoy this unique network within the Midwest region!
