Pigheresse

Those who love forest and river landscapes should definitely go to the west of the province of Luxembourg. The Bénéden-Our region is a green paradise. This is of course the Luxembourg Ouron, because there is a second river of the same name, namely to the east and south-east of the province of Liège (which forms beyond the Point des Trois Pays in Ouren the border between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Germany). But as mentioned, we stick to the Luxembourg Our, a beautiful tributary of the Lesse, which seeks its winding route through a dense forest.

NATURE OF THE ROUTE
Apart from the first 300 and last 1000 meters of the route (where you follow elementary paved roads), you get nothing but unpaved forest roads and roads under walking shoes. So it really won't be anything for strollers and wheelchairs.
The differences in level are not small, especially when you have to go down into the Our Valley and even less when you have to get out.

SIGNAGE
You follow the local P2 promenade of Porcheresse. It is marked with tilting green diamonds, accompanied by two notches. Pretty good signage. As a bonus, P2 fading indications in white paint can still be seen in many places. The reclining red rectangles that line the unique hiking trail "Par Monts et par Lesse" can often be seen along your way.

PARK
Transform the side façade of the church of Porcheresse, at Calvary (actually the monument to the victims of the war) into a kind of portal and protected by a low iron gate, turn your back and continue straight into the rue de Redu, rising considerably along the Ardennes facades. The dwelling ends in a sigh and the forest is inscribed. Upstairs you will arrive at a crossroads with a crucifix and a chapel in honor of
Our Lady of Beauraing. You have to lose the car in this environment.
