In the east of Turnhout, there is the nature reserve Den Doolhof. This forest reserve consists of 2 parts, separated by an agricultural zone.
The walk starts at the pedestrian bridge at the end of Laguitstraat and leads through both parts. On the other side of the pedestrian bridge, you follow the path along the canal to the left.
This walk is not marked. Therefore, don't forget to print a map in advance to follow the route.
Put on your hiking shoes and enjoy the beautiful nature on the edge of the city… and with a bit of luck, you might have an encounter with a deer like we did!
