Mayschoß is a town in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the Ahrweiler district.

Mayschoß is located in the Ahr valley, in the Eifel region. The surrounding area of Mayschoß is characterized by how the Ahr flows through the Eifel. Due to erosion, the Ahr makes many bends there. At the point where two bends meet, the water could follow a new path, leaving the old river valley dry. In the approximately circular area around which the Ahr first flowed, a solitary mountain remained. This is clearly visible from the slope on the southern side of the Ahr valley.
