This route in the eastern Luxembourg Ardennes is not that long (64 kilometres) but has a relatively large number of elevation metres (1640) and is therefore definitely tough. The route includes three of the top 6 climbs in the Ardennes. These are only surpassed by two variants of the climb to the Haussire near La Roche-en-Ardenne. The fact that so many climbs in Luxembourg are among the toughest in the Ardennes is mainly due to the relatively large differences in altitude between the valley (especially of the Our and the Sûre) and the plateau. The ride takes you through a landscape that is beautiful thanks to the relief and rivers, and a pleasant alternation of forests, meadows and fields. Mostly, the roads are wonderfully quiet while the road surface is in excellent condition.
The next 6 climbs are the toughest of the ride: Bourscheid north, Fléiburbierg south (number 1 of Luxembourg), Neie Wee , the Mur de Vianden (number 4), Bassins supérieurs northeast (number 2) and Purpelescht .
