A beautiful and varied walk through the famous Savelsbos near Rijckholt and its immediate surroundings.
The route also passes by the perhaps lesser-known Vuursteenmijn, about which more information can be found under Attractions.
Halfway, you walk up through a typical South Limburg "grubbe," a hollow road that has been eroded over time by rainwater flowing down from the plateau.

The starting and ending point is "Eetcafé Riekelt" with a free parking space opposite. The address is Rijksweg 184 in Rijckholt (on the main road between Gronsveld and Eijsden).
