2. Sing Buri - Uthai Thani Bicycle Track

This bicycle track is a 85 km bike ride from Sing Buri to Uthai Thani, being the second track from the Ayutthaya - Chiang Mai Route. At the end of this track you have done 168 Km of biting dust.

We leave Sing Buri via the road #311 along the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. Biking is done along the path on the opposite side of the canal bank which runs on the west side of the road. The road #311 goes along Bang Krabue, Thapya, In Buri, Prasuk, Pho Nang Dam Tok, Sanphya, Bang Luang to Chainat. At the crossing of the highway #340, continue north along the Road #3183 via Tha Chai, Hat Tha Sao, Nong Bua, Lum Khao, Nam Sum until the crossing with road # 3265. Continue north on the 3265 and enter the city of Uthai Thani.

The tour will take about 5 to 6 hours depending on the weather conditions and your physical fitness. The track is fully paved. There are passages involved over main roads with rather heavy traffic. Be careful in these locations. Points of Interest are mainly for reference.

Tips and Warnings

Be cautious as traffic is sometimes chaotic and dangerous. Motor vehicles often fail to see cyclists and pedestrians, so you must closely watch out for them. Motorcycles are a common cause of local accidents. Dogs and potholes can also be dangerous, especially in remote areas.

Be visible and wear yellow or orange colors. Use flashing rear bike lights during your bicycle trip. It is inadvisable to drive at night due to the lack of lighting.

Weather can be very hot, so make sure to drink plenty of fluids and wear sun block. Cover the body parts as much as possible and wear a hat or even better a bike helmet. Stay hydrated!

Be sure to have a tire repair kit with you, as flat tires are common due to the badly maintained roads and the lack of bicycle paths.
