Damme

Damme is a classic among hikes. With its old buildings, the romantic little town has a lot to offer. The winding rows of trees along the water and the vast polders create a beautiful, natural frame. One can endlessly hike along the hunting trails beside the Damse Vaart, the Leopold Canal, or the drainage canal of the Leie.
STARTING POINT
You can reach the church of Damme by leaving the E40 at exit 11-Aalter. Take the N44 and the N49 towards Knokke until Lapscheure, where you turn left over Platheule to reach Damme.
PARKING
New parking lot 200 m south of the church towards Lapscheure.
TYPE OF PATH
Low-traffic asphalt roads, gravel, and dirt paths.
ACCESSIBILITY
Possible for buggies and accompanied wheelchairs.
