Wonderful landscape experiences with initially wide views from Haxterberg to Senne all the way to Teutoburg Forest are offered by this approximately 25-kilometer-long tour. This is followed by the small settlement of Schloss Hamborn, idyllically located in the Ellerbach Valley, where the non-profit association "Schloss Hamborn Rudolf Steiner Work Community" operates a school with boarding school, a nursing home, a farm with its own cheese dairy, a bakery, workshops, a natural food store, and a café. In Kirchborchen, you pass by the remarkable Mallinckrodthof. The route then leads through Almetal to Wewer and from there back to Paderborn.
The tour "Haxterberg and Almetal" is a 25 km circular route, so starting and ending points are possible at any point. We recommend driving the route clockwise.
