The only kibbutz that existed in France was established between 1933 and 1935 in a farm in the village of Jugeals-Nazareth. The Tourmente river originates near Montplaisir at an altitude of 370 meters. After 26 km, it flows into the Dordogne. The Montplaisir tunnel is 2,397 meters long and is located one hundred meters deep; its construction posed problems due to the numerous springs found along its route. On November 10, 1862, the Brive Capdenac railway line was inaugurated. For several years, it was the longest railway tunnel in France. We are in the Second Empire and the post will arrive two years later. At that time, the train was used for the transport of goods, with Capdenac being located near Figeac and Decazeville, where coal and zinc can be found.
