Venkraai Cabin

Boshuis Venkraai is the most beautiful cycling café in Oisterwijk and its surroundings. Built over a century ago as a forest ranger's house, you immerse yourself in that characteristic Brabantian coziness here. Enjoy nature and a tasty bite and/or drink at this junction of various cycling and walking routes. Or taste one of the specialty beers while you relax on the beautiful terrace after a delightful ride through the forests, heathlands, and fens of this 'Pearl in the Green'.

Unique nature area
Riders, walkers, cyclists, and mountain bikers love to make use of the many designated routes. The beautifully located forest café is thus more than an ideal base to explore the unique Oisterwijk Woods and Fens. Originating from the late Ice Age, the small fens are home to unusual aquatic plants and serve as breeding or resting places for various birds such as the grebe, cormorant, tufted duck, and Eurasian teal. Each season in this nature area is special and completely different. For example, in the fall, you can go on a mushroom safari, while in the spring, you can enjoy the beautifully sprouting nature. Who knows, you might even spot a young fawn..!

Honest kitchen
The fresh dishes on the small menu of Boshuis Venkraai have a clear connection to grandmother's time. Enjoy pea soup with Brabantian rye bread and bacon in the winter months right in the woods, grab a delicious house-made meatball out of the gravy, or order the 'Forest Ranger Pancake': a delicious warm dish with farmer's bread. The café is also available for parties and meetings. Inquire about this with the multilingual staff (German and English).

By bike, on foot, or on horseback?
With a parking lot about 400 meters away, Venkraai is also easily accessible by car. Additionally, Oisterwijk station is less than five kilometers away, so you can reach this beautiful location in various ways. You can even park your horse close to the terrace…
