Friedrichstadt er en by mellem floderne Eider og Treene i Nordfriesland-kredsen i Schleswig-Holstein. Luftkurbyen danner sammen med Amts Nordsee-Treene et forvaltningsfællesskab, og amtet varetager byens anliggender.
Friedrichstadt blev grundlagt i 1621 af den gottorfske hertug Friedrich III. og er i dag et højtstående kulturmonument. Hertug Friedrich III. havde til formål at oprette en handelsmetropol og inviterede derfor hollandske borgere, især de forfulgte remonstranter, til stedet og gav dem religionsfrihed. Som følge af denne foranstaltning bosatte også medlemmer af mange andre trosretninger sig i Friedrichstadt, så stedet blev anset for at være en "toléranceby". I dag er der stadig fem trosretninger aktive.
