Det ligger på 42° 44" 15" N og 0° 46" 25" O på en skråning 548 m over havets overflade, på den venstre bred af floden Bayas. Grunden, det ligger på, er sammensat af marg og okker-sandsten.
Stedet har været beboet siden forhistorisk tid. Langs floden Bayas findes den såkaldte Dolmen de los Andrinales, et af de mange forhistoriske fundsteder der findes i området. Opdaget i 1955 af Domingo Medrano, består det af et halvt dusin sandstensplader uden dæk eller høje, begravet i jorden omkring et kammer og en gang, hvis akse har nord-sydgående orientering.
