From January 15 to March 2, 1933, the Virgin Mary appeared eight times to an 11-year-old girl, Mariette Beco.
The Message she brought is relevant! Sickness, suffering, and worries are timeless!
Each year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims come to Banneux! They come alone or in groups, such as during a sick retreat or day pilgrimage, to entrust their poverty, suffering, and worries, their search to Our Lady. With the Mother of the Redeemer, they wish to express the trust and hope they place in Jesus Christ, the Source of all grace!
Just as she did for Mariette, the Virgin of the Poor also guides every pilgrim on their life's journey today. She asks us to "put our hands in the water," in the Spring of true life: Jesus!
