Ever heard of Mesen? No? That's a shame! For those still looking for a nice staycation, we can warmly recommend Mesen. However, you will have to travel all the way to the corner of a beautiful piece of the Westhoek. But once you're there, you end up in the smallest city in Belgium. Mesen may only be the size of a handkerchief, but there is so much to experience. The history dates back to far in the Middle Ages. The Great War had horrific episodes here. Cramped against the Heuvelland witness hills and a piece of Wallonia, you easily lose yourself in the beauty of mother nature.
