Attention! This walk is not accessible during the festival season from May to August. 

The Rockweidewalk is all about the annual festival Rock Werchter. A festival that turns the charming village of Werchter upside down every year. The walk starts at the Hanewijkbrug. At the start, we first follow the Demer for 150 m before turning left into Hazepad. At the end of this path, we come out onto the Haachtsesteenweg, with the festival grounds across the street. We walk across the festival site. After a total of 1.5 km, we will explore the area that lies behind the festival grounds: the Werchters Broek. We make a 3 km loop through the Werchters Broek. Along the way, we encounter the Kraenenveldhoeve. When we finish the Werchters Broek, we have covered 4.5 km. We pass a section of the festival grounds again. In this section, we see the stacked sea containers by artist Arne Quinze. We cross the Haachtsesteenweg again and enter the Dijlevallei. We follow this for 2 km until we reach the Dijledijk. After 1.5 km on the Dijledijk, we come to the Damiaanbrug. Next to this bridge stands a statue of Father Damiaan. When we cross the bridge, we return to the Dijledijk. We walk 3 km until the Dijlevallei brings us back to the village of Werchter. After more than 11 km, we return to our starting point, the Hanebrug. At the experience center of Rock Werchter, you can immerse yourself further in the musical event.
