Neffe: Promenade des moulins de la Wiltz

We did this walk on 04-02-2023. It is very well indicated on one side. The departure is in Neffe but we chose to start the walk from the spacious car park of the church of Wardin. A nice walk with quite a few paved roads but beautiful views of the Wiltz valley and the surrounding villages.

www.parcnaturel.be provides the following information.

Start: Neffe, 20 meters further than the exit of the Ravel.
Walk towards Mt. You will approach the old castle of Neffe.
After about 570 m, you will arrive at the pond of Neffe, a pond with a rich biodiversity.
The trail now descends to the village of Wardin, at an altitude of 447 m.
On the left, you have a nice view of the village of Benonchamps and its landscapes of the central Ardennes.
Cross Wardin via the signs to Harzy.
Go around Harzy following the road to Benonchamps.
A little further (about 6.5 km after the start of the walk) take the Ravel on your left.
From the Ravel you can see on the right an old mill that was built at the foot of Benonchamps.

The mill called Drî l'Tier, which means "behind the hill", is hidden behind pine trees and is therefore invisible from the Ravel. It is one of the oldest mills in the valley. It was not only a flour mill, but also a tobacco mill, a mill and a bark mill.
