O I R - Aaigem - R I 212 from 134 km

This beautiful road cycling route starts from Roeselare and takes us a good way to the east, so we will cycle from Hermelgem through the Flemish Ardennes to Aaigem.

Ps.: The route can also be cycled only to Hermelgem, making it 134 km long. As soon as you cross the Bovenschelde, turn left into Peperstraat and continue straight (keeping Scheldestraat on your right) until you reach the water and follow the bike path towards Gavere.

After the start, we head towards Lendelede, Desselgem, and here we stay along the Leie for a while until Sint-Eloois-Vijve, from where we will cycle towards Nokere, but we will take a slightly alternative route to Ooike instead of the classic one. After that, we go over Hermelgem into the Flemish Ardennes, from Sint-Maria-Latem and over the Kortendries we climb into Sint-Goriks-Oudenhove. Shortly afterwards, we put the Vlamme under the pedals and go over the Pijpketel towards Wijnhuize, entering Sint-Antelinks via Steenhuize-Wijnhuize along Ransbeekstraat. From there, we cycle north over Roesselare (yes, exactly), to Aaigem and from here we return via Borsbeke, Sint-Lievesn-Houtem, Balegem and over Elleve back to Hermelgem, from where we cycle along the Bovenschelde to Gavere. After that, we head to Lozer, then towards Olsene and here too we stay along the left bank of the Leie for a while to continue our way to Oostrozebeke, going over the Paanders to Meulebeke and from here to Kachtem, to cycle over Rhodesgoed, Rumbeke and thus arrive in Roeselare.
