The Smouthoukpad is a hiking trail that can also be used as a cycling route and starts at the village evaluation point near Watou Square.
It leads over Kerkhofstraat, the small market, and Winnezelestraat to the border (de Schreve).
The Café A la Frontiére Belge is a typical border café where you can still catch a glimpse of the atmosphere from earlier times. Via small country roads, you reach Houtkerke, a typical village at the Schreve.
In Rue de Calais, you will find a typical Blauwercafé, where you can taste the best Picon in the region. Through the village square and the church, you return to the border with Watou. At the border, there is again Chez Le Voisin. Through Callestraat, where you pass by the Dreve of “Landgoed Karel van Yedeghem,” you then take Oude Provenstraat to return to the village of Watou. We stroll around Watou Square once more via Moenaardestraat, with its many terraces, to end at the village evaluation point.
