Clear the paths of the 'Flat Country' around Damme

This path is the result of a constant search for small roads that are mostly paved but frequented by very few motorized vehicles. The route consists of a variety of loops, offering leisure cyclists countless possibilities to change it. They can shorten the total distance (about 76 km) to their liking.

The road winds through the polders around Damme, always close to the three canals (the Leopold Canal, the Schipdonk Canal, and the Damme Canal) and sometimes along one of these three. One crosses a completely flat landscape and uses only narrow paved paths, some cycling paths (11 km), and some unpaved trails (4 km); the latter are still well passable by bike, even in winter! Along the way, one will hardly encounter motorized vehicles, as busy roads and large intersections are deliberately avoided. There are no traffic lights or roundabouts along the entire route.
