Strée - Outrelouxhe

If you come by car, it is best to park opposite the Hôtel (!) de Police in Strée. Start in a northeastern direction across the Ruelle Magneury. First, you walk through an open landscape with a beautiful view. Where we cross the return path, we take the road towards Ferée & Rausa. After passing these hamlets (path next to the church!), we reach a protected woodland area. We descend over a stream valley to climb again on the other side. However, there is also the option to shorten the hike by following the Rue Fond d'Oxhe to the right until the bridge over the Oxhe. There, turn left onto the path and then immediately start the steep ascent to the right. Once you have passed under the high-voltage lines, the descent to Les Rochettes begins. There we will be rewarded for our efforts. It is also the location of many prehistoric finds from flint. After Les Rochettes, two more ascents remain back to Strée.

Caution: Those using a hiking map of the area might encounter a strange surprise. On the hike named "Saint Lambert" (blue dot), the map indicates that when leaving the Bois de Saint Lambert, you simply need to turn right and cross the Rue Fond d'Oxhe to reach the Bois des Dames via a bridge over the Oxhe. In my opinion, this passage no longer exists. By the way, the signs on-site have been adjusted (at least partially).
