Houfalize Suhet Bridge and Lambin Park

The Pont de Suhet walk is certainly not an easy walk, but it is a walk that takes you through a wide variety of landscapes, which allow you to get acquainted with a beautiful piece of the Ardennes.

during the walk I also pass in front of the Lambin Park. A place in memory of the horror of the 2nd WW.

On December 16, 1944, the German Battle of the Bulge broke out "last chance". The sondercommandos, special units of the Gestapo that operated in the wake of the fighting troops, had as their main objective to find and liquidate members of the resistance movement. Immediately after their return to Houffalize, the Germans carried out searches. Apparently, they could have got their hands on a compromising list of names of resistance fighters from the B.N.B. (Belgian National Movement). On Friday, December 22, 1944, the tragedy that took place here began.
