Huldenberg Dijle and Laan march (RCOZ)

Theme: This walk starts along the Rodebos to the Oude Waversebaan / Zesdagmaalstraat. There we cross the Leuvensebaan and descend to the Dijle valley where we climb the plateau via the beautiful Wijmingenstraat (actually a trail) and then descend through the Oliestraat to the Laan valley. Finally, we arrive again at the starting point via the Rodebos. Duration +/- 2.15 hours.

Start/finish: Buurtweg 3, 3040 Sint-Agatha-Rode, Belgium

Parking: Leuvensebaan halfway between Sint-Agatha-Rode and Ottenburg at the beginning of Rodebos

This is a walk designed or adapted by the Rotary Club Overijse-Zoniën (RCOZ) as part of the action "Walking and cycling for more greenery and nature in the Druivenstreek". This promotion runs from 21 March 2021 to 5 June 2021 (World Environment Day). The aim of the action is above all to reflect on the importance of greenery and nature in the Druivenstreek and to raise awareness about it. A shorter route is possible by turning right when you arrive at the campsite in front of the campsite (at the hiking interchange 248 towards the hiking exit 249 where the starting point is located. Another shorter route is to take the Leuvensebaan on the right at the beginning and turn right into the Oliestraat on the first street and continue the walk. The two short routes are +/- 4 km.
