The city of Leuven has four abbeys, and these four abbeys are linked together in one cycling route. The route starts at Martelarenplein near the station and then takes you through the historical heart of the city to the Saint Gertrude's Abbey, then continues along the canal over the Keizersberg (climbing!) with the Keizersberg Abbey and to the Abbey of Vlierbeek, after which it goes through the green Kessel-Lo and via backroads to the beautiful Abbey of ’t Park (where you can also enjoy lovely walks) and then back to the starting point.
