The Frontroute 14-18, 100 kilometers long, takes you through the rebuilt front zone landscape of the ‘Great War’. You navigate on both sides of the German and Allied front lines marked by commemorative trees and understand the military-strategic significance of the landscape in wartime. While cycling, you discover the chronology of military operations, come face to face with bunkers and dugouts, uncover trenches, bomb craters, and underground tunnels, and can taste the silence at the dozens of impressive military cemeteries.
