The Wutzsee is a ribbon lake up to 18 meters deep on the outskirts of the town of Lindow in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin. It covers an area of 90 hectares. The outflow of the lake, the Lindower Stadtfließ, powered the monastery mill mentioned as early as 1530. Through this outflow, the lake is also connected to the neighboring Gudelacksee. Motor boating on the lake is prohibited.
The lake is surrounded by a well-marked hiking trail, which is mostly located about five meters above the water level. A hike around the lake takes two to three hours; the path is lined with many benches.
