The village church of Friedersdorf is a baroque-altered fieldstone church from the 13th century.
After it was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War, Joachim Ernst von Görzke acquired the church in 1653 and had it repaired. His daughter Elisabeth married into the von der Marwitz family in 1682. As part of her dowry, the building thus came into the possession of the von der Marwitz family. In 1702, Hans Georg von der Marwitz gave the church its present baroque form. Only the vault ceiling, the pulpit, and the altar painting remained as a testament from the Renaissance period. The organ as well as the baroque wood carvings trace back to Sybille Elisabeth, née von Osterhausen, the second wife of Hans Georg. She completed the work after his death. The church was restored in 1854 and 1935. At the end of World War II, the building suffered a grenade hit during the battles for the Seelower Heights and was severely damaged; the choir area had to be separated from the nave by a wall two years later. In 1959, the church was closed due to dilapidation. In 1984, the parish re-roofed the church nave and thus preserved the building from decay.
