The Katschhof is a beautiful, centrally located public square in the German city of Aachen. Its name derives from Kaxhoff, later Kackshoff or Katzhoff, and is associated with the site of the former pillory ("Katz"). People from all over gathered here for trade. Its unique location between the Cathedral and Aachen City Hall gives it a special atmosphere. Major events such as concerts, weekly markets, and the world-famous Aachen Christmas Market are held here.
