Weser Cycle Route Circular Tour: Landesbergen-Stolzenau

Discover a section of the Weser Cycle Path as a circular route on the main and alternative routes. The Weser Bridge in Stolzenau will be rebuilt in the coming years, but should remain open to cyclists.

Sights: Wedding Mill and Spieker Landesbergen, Schinna Monastery, Stolzenau town center with St. Jacob's Church, Town Hall, and Local Museum, historical draw well and Leese Church

The starting point is Mühlenplatz in Landebergen with the Wedding Mill and the historic Spieker. Across the Weser Bridge, you head to the left/western side of the Weser and continue in a southerly direction. North of the Stolzenau town center, the Weser Cycle Path leads past the site of the former Benedictine monastery in Schinna (one of the oldest Protestant half-timbered churches in Germany).

You reach Stolzenau with its charming town center and St. Jacobi Church with its twisted tower spire. The tourist information is housed in the historic train station. Across the Weser Bridge, you head to the right/eastern side of the Weser towards Leese. Here, the church and the historical draw well are worth seeing. Heading north, you return via Heidhausen to your starting point in Landesbergen.

The cycle path between Leese and Landesbergen is not signposted as an alternative route for the Weser Cycle Path.
