Lynghøj

Lynghøj is located west of Selling, and from the top, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the hilly moraine landscape around Lilleåen to the southwest.

The area that surrounds Lynghøj belongs to Favrskov Municipality. There is a path to the hill from Byvejen in Selling By. Around the hill, there is a nice mowed path, and to reach the top of the hill, there are small access ways from both the eastern and western sides. From Selling By, it is also possible to walk down to Spørring Å via the road "Ådalen," which winds beautifully through the landscape. The area is closed to the public a couple of times a year due to clay pigeon shooting.

The nature in the area is atypical, as heather grows on the hill, among other things. You can also find wavy burnet, butterbur, pod bream, tormentil, common goldenrod, and sand harebell. All these species are characteristic of the heather nature type. At the hill, you can also hear birds like yellowhammer and woodlark.
