The tour starts in Rudbøl and is about 14 km long. Magisterkog is located on the border between Denmark and Germany, and the hike takes you around Magisterkog on both the Danish and German sides of the border, so remember to bring your passport on the trip. You will pass through the towns of Rudbøl, Aventoft, and Rosenkranz. From the top of the dikes, you have a great view of Rudbøl Lake and Magisterkog with large reed areas, where you can experience many different birds, including the black tern. The black tern only breeds in three areas in Denmark, including here in Magisterkog.
