During the 17th and 18th centuries, Sada became prosperous with the installation of the Real Fábrica de Jarcia y Lona and the creation of salting factories. During this period, two forts were ordered to be built, those of Fontán and Corbeiroa, to protect the estuary from constant raids.
To your left are the steps that take you to Morazón Beach, a small sandy uncrowded beach in the summer where in the 30’s "dragnet" fishing was customary.
From the beach you can access Cova d'Anca, located on the cliff of Punta Fontán. Due to its complex location, the cave has been the subject of countless speculations, among which is its connection to the fort and even some manor houses of the town.
From here we recommend you tour the Fontán district, take the first road on the left and discover beautiful fishermen's houses. If you take the right, you can follow the Costa Doce hiking trail (PR-G 96), which starts here and goes all along the coast. The route is of low difficulty and provides several alternatives to travel it. Its section to Cirro Beach is 8.4 km and takes approximately 4 hours.+ Info route Costa Doce
