Can Font de la Serra

Can Font de la Serra is a renovated farmhouse with a chapel, located in the municipality of Manresa, protected as a cultural asset of local interest. It is currently the Water Centre of Can Font and the headquarters of the Aigües de Manresa Foundation – Junta de la Séquia.
It is currently called the Water Centre of Can Font, and is the headquarters of the Aigües de Manresa Junta de la Séquia. It is an old farmhouse located at the foot of the Santpedor road, in a context that was rural until just a few years ago. It has a chapel built in the mid-16th century, mentioned in an inventory from 1707, with an inscription on the lintel corresponding to a renovation from 1763. It has a rectangular plan and is covered with a gabled roof. It is oriented to the south, and it is on this side where the largest number of openings and the vaulted semicircular door are located. It has a ground floor, a first floor, and an attic. A ridge surrounds the roof. The windows have a rectangular structure and are framed with stone blocks. It has a medieval cistern with an approximate capacity of 40,000 liters and a washbasin. We can also see the remains of an olive oil mill outside.
