The route of the 6 cols, Road Cycling Catalonia

CDTE (Costa Daurada / Terres de L'Ebre): Route 5

This is an extremely demanding route, for expert climbers. It takes place in the regions of El Tarragones, Alt Camp, Baix Camp and the Priorat. The climbs of Battle, Alforja, Arboli, La Morera, Porrera and Teixeta add up to more than 3,000 meters of gain! Nonetheless, the reward is the fantastic views from Arboli and the town of La Morera de Montsant, at the foot of the Montsant mountain range. The entire Priorat wine-making region is beautiful. The descent is vertiginous towards Escala-Dei, returning to Cartoixa. At this point, there are still two more passes (Porrera and Teixeta) to conquer, before the relieving 15km descent to Cambrils.
